WOOL, SHEEPSKIN, HIDES AND TALLOW SALE.
The JSf.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report as follows: —We held our usual fortnightly sale to-day., and offered a fair-sized catalogue,of wool, skins, hides and tallow; Buyers were well represented, and prices realised were quite up to last sales. We auote':
Wool: Crossbred, clean 6kl to 7£-d, inferior and seedy 4|d to s|d; lambs, good 6^d to 7J:d, inferior and seedy 4J d to 6d:; crutchings, good 5d to sfd, seedy 3£d to, : 4|d.; locks and pieces lid to 3-|d. Sheepskins: Crossbred, fine 6|d to 7Jd, coarse s£d to 6sd; lamb skins 6^d to 7£d; dead and faulty skins 3d to sid; damaged pelts Id to 3d; good pelts 3£d to 4^d; salted and damp skins 2s 9d to 5s each; salted and damp lamb skins 2s, 3d to 3s lOd. Hides: Ox medium .5-Jd to 6-|d; cow and light.ox 5d to s§d; faulty hides 2^-d to 4§d; calf, sound <3£d to B£d, damaged 2d to 4fd. Horsehair, to Is 5d per IK Tallow, in tins, to 20s 3d per cwt.
