Sentence was deferred. Later. In the Supreme Court to-day, Solo- ' mon Levi, who in the Lower Court had claimed to be tried by jury on a charge of the theft of half-a-crown, : now pleaded guilty. In yew of his bad record he was sentenced to two years' hard labor. ■ Annie Nicholson, charged with perjury in having persisted in a statement at a creditors' meeting that she paid_ several creditors and received receipts, was ordered to come up for sentence if called upon. TIMARU, June 4. j ■In the Supreme Court, Thomas C&x, aged 19, and Henry Cox aged 21, ; 'buothers, were convicted of assault attd robbery. The accused met their vie- .
