WAIROA HARBOR WORKS.
SIGNS OF PROGRESS. [PEESS ASSOCIATION.] WAIROA, May 20. It is stated that there are wealthy •and influential interests which have offered to put down half the cost of freezing works at Wairoa, H. 8., if the farmers will.take-the question up. The Wairoa Harbour Bill authorising a loan of; £75,000 for river improvement has. been lodged at the Court-house Avith the necessary plans. The reclamation will possibly aggregate over 800 acres.
