SCARLATINA.
CASES ON STEPHEN'S ISLAND

WELLINGTON, May 3
The Marine' Department were advised to-day that the wife of one of the lighthouse-keepers at Stephen's Island is suffering from scarlatina, and that some children are sickening for it.
Dr Pollen, port health officer, and a trained nurse have baen sent to the island.
