CHARGE OF THEFT.

A PLEA OF GUILTY

CHRISTCHU^CH, May 11. In the Police Court to-day, Charles Bryanton admitted'having stolen £14 from Michael O'Brien at the Telegraph Department's camp at Halswell.

The accused had been employed at the camp, and stole the money from O'Brien's vest while the latter was absent. Of the stolen money, £6 had been paid as a deposit for the purchase of a bicycle. Mr Bishop, S.M., remanded Bryanton for the probation officer's report.
