The resolutions passed at the Acclimatisation Societies' Conference yesterday were placed before* Sir Joseph Ward to-day by a deputation from the Conference; The M mister, in replying, said that a Consolidating Bill, and also some amendments to the present law, were being prepared, and there was a prospjßctof the measure being passed thia session. He was quite in agreement with the Conference that measures should be taken to prevent the decrease of native and imported game, and would be glad to consider] the question of issuing licenses to shoot native game. Cylinder and decoy shooting ought to be stopped. He believed there should be sanctuaries for deer. So far as tront were concerned, he thought that netting should be put a stop to. He was anxious to do what was right, and would go into the whole matter.
