Penalties.—FJat Races—The winner of any flat race after declaration of weights to carry a penalty of lOlbs; and of any additional race a further penalty of 61bs. Horses handicapped atßstlbibs or over to carry only half the above penalties. 3. Hurdles—The winner of any hurdle race after declaration of weights to carry a penalty of lOlbs; and for any additional hurdle race 71bs extra. 4. A winner of any Trotting Race after declaration of handicaps to be re-handicapped. , Definition of a Hack—A Hack is a horse that has not won a race of the value of 80 soys, or races of the collective value of 200 soys up to,date of nomination, since.lst August, 1899. Trotting Races will be run under the Rules of theN.Z. Trotting Association, Rule 38a. By entering a horse, the .nominator and every person having any interest in such horse shall be deemed to accept all the conditions and restrictions imposed or implied by these Rules, and to be debarred from questioning any action or conduct of any official of a Trotting or Racing Club in respect of such horse, or of any person connected therewith, otherwise than is provided for by Rule 92, Rules of Trotting, 40a. The names of the trainer and owner or owners must be included in all acceptance forms when acceptances are sent in, in default of which the owner or trainer may be fined a sum not exceeding £5 or disqualified, HOMINATIONS, WEIGHTS, AND ACCEPTANCES, Nominations close for all Races on Saturday, 7th November, at the Secretary's Office, Market Place, Blenheim, at 9 p.m. Weights for First Day's Eaces declared on or about Saturday, 14th November.
