HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES.

The House met at 2.30 p.m. QUESTIONS. In reply to questions, Ministers stated that there was no intention of setting ap a Joint Committee to consider the status of reporters in the Parliamentary press galleries. That the general verdict was that the Consolidated Licensing Bill was a good bill and met what the public demanded.

That, whenever the tariff is revised, the question of increasing the duty on boots and shoes will receive the serious consideration of Government.
