FRUIT-GROWERS' CONFERENCE.
The annual conference of delfga'e; representing the fruit-growers of the Australasian colonies will this year be held at Brisbane, Queensland, opening on June 18. It is intended that New Zealand shall be represented by two delegates to be appointed by the Fruitgrowers' Associations, and two officers of the Department of Agriculture. The expenses of these delegates will be pr.ij by the Government, and the Queensland Government will give free pisses over all the Government railways of that coloiiy. A fruit show will be held m connection with the conferecc^ and the Government will defray the freight and other expenses of forwarding exhibits from New Zaaland. Many interesting exhibits, iucluding fresb, dried and preserved fruits, jams, jellies, wives, cider, perry, spray pump 3 and other horfcul tural appliances have been promised, and m<my are already ia preparation. k very successful and ustful gathering is anticipated,*
