AN EXPECTANT PUBLIC. DEAN FURTHER PROTESTS I HIS INNOCENCE. [UNITED FBSSB ASSOCIATION.] Received October 1, 10.40 a.m. Sydney, October 1. Great interest is centred m Mr Meagher's statement m the Legislative Assembly to-night re the Dean case. It is expected that Sir J. Salomons makes his rejoinder m the Legislative Council to-morrow, when he will give a complete circumstantial account of what passed. Dean has made a statutory declaration denying absolutely that he ever admitted his guilt, and strenuously affirms his innocence.
