A QUEENSLAND BANKRUPTCY.
[UNITED PBBBB ASSOCIATION.] Brisbane, January 1. Alfred Shaw and Co., hardware merchants, Brisbane, have filed a petition to go into liquidation. The firms liabilities amount to about £100,000, the principal creditors being m Melbourne and London. The suspension does not affect the position of Alfred Shaw and Co., limited, m Townsville, Melbourne and Perth. A echeme of reconstruction is being prepared, including the option of payment m full with ex- ■ tended terms.
