CEITICAL POSITION OF SOUDAN ITALIANS.
♦ [united press association.] Souakim, January 2. The Italians at Eassala are believed to be m a critical position. Some 15,000 dervishes, mostly well armed, are reported to be within ten hours' march of the place. The only troops available for its defence are one batfcallion of natives.
