The return of immigration to and emigration from the colony during the month of October gives the number of arrivals as 1260, Victoria contributing 475, New South Wales 392 and the United Kingdom 300. The departures were 2296, of which number 1363 booked for Victoria and 770 for New South Wales. There were no-arrivals or departures of Chinese. Mr G. E. Barton" of Wellington has been appointed Native Land Court Judge. He will shortly' proceed to the district north of Auckland. Cukistchuroh, Nov. 15. .At the Pharmacy Board meeting tonight, the result of the voting by the pharmacists of New Zealand on the proposed bye-laws for regulating the voting was announced. The majority was 167 m favor of the bye-laws. The regulations for preliminary examination of pharmacists were approved by a majority of 152. Auckland, No v. 15. The Boot Manufacturers' Association have advised Macarthur and Co. to recommend their employee Cullen to pay thefine imposed upon him by the Union. This is m respect of the second dispute which has arisen at this factory.
