The .three dis-, t,ricfcs of Amuri, Mailborongh, and Kaikoura are m thia Bill thi^s divided : AMtTBI OOUKTY Is bounded towards the north-west, north, ' and east generally by . the County of Marlborough hereinbefore described, from "Mount; Fiaiiklyn to lhe Clarence River, thence by a line along the middle of that river to the confluence of the Palmer River, and by a line along tjit middle of the latter river to its sourer, thence by a straight lino to tho Palmer Saddle,, thence by a straight line to the source of the Conway River, and by a line along tbe middle of that ri er to the confluence of the Gelt Hi ver ; towards the south-cast by a straight Hop tp .Monnt PamassuSj thence by a straight line to the nearest of the Lrtwry Peaks, and thence by the sXimrnit of the Lo wry" Peak Ranges to the Hurunui .River; towards the south by a line wlong the middle of the said Horn nui Biver to its sourcp, .theuc* by a 'straight line to the saddle between the Hurunui River snd the Tereniakau Riper ; and towards the northwest by the summit of the Spencer Range to Mount Frankly n. ■VIARIBOROTTOH COTJNTY Is bounded towards the east and aouih-easfc by the ocean, from White's Bay to the mouth of the Clarence River; towards, the west and again towards the south-east by a line along * the middle of the said Clarence River to fche confluence of the Gloster River ; " towards the south-west by a line along ihe middle of the latter river to its source, thence by a straight line to Barefell Pass ; towards the north-west by the summit if the range over Saxton P- ss to the source of the Acheron River; towards the south and again towards the south-east by the summit of the main watershed between the Wairau and the Awatere Rivers over the Waihopai Saddle and Weld's Paes to e the sourcs of Cascade 'Creek, thence by a line, along tbo middle -of that creek tp its confluence with the Wairau River and thence by a line along the middle of that river to its source ; towards the ♦outh-west by a straight line to Mount Franklyn ; towards the north-west by the summit of St. Arnaud Rouge to Tophouse, thence by a straight. lir.e to Ward's Pa's?, thence by the summit of Jie watershed to the Red Hills at the source of the Pelorus River, thence by a line along the middle of that river to its confluence with the Heringa River, and by a line along the middle of the latter river to its Source near Saddle Hill, thence by the summit ofthe watershed between the Pelorus River and Tasman Bp.y "to the summit vi Elliot Peak ; towards the norih-eaut generally by the summit of the watershed to Waitanehi Point, thence by tha shore of the Mahau Sound to the north-west corner of Section No 21, Linkwater Survey District, Vhence by a straight line to the eastern boundary 3ine of a block of iand granted to one Joseph Toms at a point one thousand eight hundred and seventy (1870) links froni a stream called Te Aw a, thence by the shore of Queen Charlotte Sound to the eastern boundary line of "Waikawa Nativo Reserve, thence by the boundary-line and the summit of the watershed between .Cloudy Bay and Waitohi Valley io a straight line bearing S. 45deg.
