It has been ascei tamed that the fires at Woolston and Phillipstown Police Stations on Thursday last, were lighted by a lunatic named William Allison, who was this afternoon committed to the asylum. The South British Insurance Company had £5500 of their risk on the steamer Alhambra reinsured m eighteen offices. Two houses m Brown-street, Ponsonby, owned respectively by James Maguire and John Tomkin, were burned down at two o'clock this morning. Maguire was insured for £200, and Tomkin for £150, both m the South British.
