Immense Fire at Auckland.

Auckland, via Nelson. May 18. An extensive fire occurred on Sunday morning last in Pitt-street, top of Hobson and Grey-street, ten dwelling houses totally destroyed.

The estimated loss over £4OOO. The New Zealand Insurance loss is £IBOO, the Royal £I3OO, the Imperial £2OO. The Caledonian will pay another dividend of £lO per share to-day, and the Thames 30s to-morrow. Eliza Knox threw herself into the river from the wharf yesterday, and was drowned. The ship Caduceus sails for London on Saturday, with fifty passengers, 15,000 ounces of gold, and a large cargo, Arrived, on May 12th, the Queen from Lyttelton; on the 14th, the Onehunga, which left Oamaru on the 28th. The Yirago arrived on the 15th from Wellington; and the Star of the South from Napier. No sign of the Wonga Wonga.
