Patrick Gunn, aged 18, was charged, at the Police Court that at Kohimarama on May 21. armed with a revolver, hej assaulted Ellen Ccok with intent to rob her. Mrs Cook stater that she was the of a laborer living at Kohimaranm. About midday acrni.sed inquired for the manager and sho replied that she was manager. Accused' displayed a revolver and pointed it at nor, paying, "Stand aside or I'll fire. Money I want and money I'll have. He ordered her to get her handbag, which was hanging in the kitchen, and sho spread the contents on the table. There was a threepeny bit, two pennies and a halfpenny. Accused did not take the money, and loft remarking, "If you don't leave this place in half an hour you'll be a dead woman." A fortnight later she saw accused in Queen Street, and pointed him out to her husband, who took accused to a constable.
