IMPORTANT LAY MOVEMENT. BI ELECTRIC TELEGEAFH COPYRIGHT. PEE UNITED PEESS ASSOCIATION. Received September 29, 9.15 a.m. LONDON, Sept. 28. A new lay movement is projected to effect a readjustment of the Oliurch and State, to avoid control of the Church by Parliaments containing unbelievers and to place the Anglican Church in a somewhat similar position to the Established Church of Scotland. Many prominent members _of the clergy and laity are sympathetic It is proposed to hold a meeting in London in the autumn.
