THE EMPIRE'S GUARDIANS.
GIFT SHIPS FROM INDIA. FLEET OF 12 SUGGESTED. BT ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH.—COPYRIGHT. PER UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION. Received November 30, 9.30 a.m. LONDON, Nov. 29. Indian rulers, princes and nobles are conferring at Bombay with a view to presenting to Great Britain three superDreadnoughts and nine armored cruisers. It is suggested that the vessels should be stationed in the Red Sea, the Mediterranean Sea and the Indian Ocean. The movement originated during the recent visit to England of two leading Rajput princes. Hon. Winston Churchill (First Lord of the Admiralty) when first sounded considered the scheme impracticable but 60 Rajput princes and many others as well as Indian people responded to the suggestion to contribute.
