Whit-worth and Company, the great armament firm, for the sum of .L.O'OOO as commission at 2J per eent. U|K>n the Commonwealth uiailships contract. The plaintiff stated that he proposed the scheme to Mr Deakiu (Prime Minister) iu 1905, and after his approval approached Sir Wm. Armstrong on the question. Lord Alvorstoue (Lord Chief Justieol decided that there was no case to go to a jury.
