JAPANESE IN GERMANY.
AN ISLAND DISCOVEHY. Received Mav 24, 10.13 a.m. SYDNEY, May 24. Consternation has been created at ■Joluit, in the Marshall Islands (a group lying east of the Caroline Islands and belonging t-o Germany;, by tho discovery of a number of Japanese, who are living 011 the outlying islet of Jaspar Rica, Kiev stato that they have been there for three years collecting birds, fishes, etc., and are awaiting .the arrival of a steamer by which they will return to Japan. The landing is a breach of the German laws, and an investigation is being made.
