VERDICT OF AC't lIMCN'I'AI, DEATH. PER UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION. C'H RISTCH I'RCH, Nov. 9. At the inquest 011 the man Greer, the victim "f the accident at l.yttelton, the jury returned a verdict that death was caused by his being struck liy a piece of coal which fell ) 10111 the basket through its coming in contact with a derrick standing ill a dangerous position during the operation of unloading. The Coroner said the question of the derrick's position would probably form the subject of another inquiry as to whether there was negligence or not. Some severe strictures were made on the condition of the casualty ward.
