Owing t<.i some misunderstanding the greater proportion of the twenty men employed at the preliminary operations in the Parapara iron works have struck and are returning to Nelson. They say the management engaged them at !)s per day, whereas the management stales that the rale was to Iw only Ss, except for four of the. men.
