Wednesday, Apuil 4. Fat Cattle. — 258 head yarded, about onethird good to prime beef, the balance medium to inferior. The domand was not so brisk as lit last sale, and prices were fully 10s per hei),d lower. Best bullocks, £0 10s to £8 10s ; medium, £8 Ss to £7 ; light and inferior, £0 10s to £4 15s ; best heifers, £6 12s Od to £0; medium, £5 15s to £5; light and inferior, £4 10s to £3 15s. Fat Sheep.— 2B4o yarded. A. considerable portion were really good prime wethers, and the greater part of the balance medium quality ewes. There was a fair domand, but compared with last week's rates wethers were Od to 9cl and ewes Is to Is Cd psr head easier. Best crossbred wethers, 16 Od to 17s 3d— extra prime, 17s 3d ; good, 14s Gd to 15s Gd ; light, 12s Gd to 14s ; best crossbred ewes, 14s to 15s— extra heavy, IBs 'o lGs 9d ; good, 13s to liis 9d ; light and inferior, 10s to 12s (id. The demand for lamb freezers was good, but butchers soils were, if anything, easier. Best lls to 12s ; medium, 10s to 10s Gd ; stores, 8s 9d to 9 9d. Pigs. — 134 yarded. Baconers and porkers met with good demand, but suckers, slips, and stoves were hard to place. Suckers, 4s to 8s ; slips, lls to 14s ; stores, 20s to 25s ; porkers, 2Gs to 87s ; baconers, 40s to 48s.
