Southland Education Board

The monthly meeting of the Board held at Invercargill on Friday was at* tended by Messrs Froggatt (actingchairman), 'MacGibbois, Baldey, Hatheson, Baio, Lumsden, and McLeocl. P. Petereen, LU9 10* ; Ohatton : .Repairs and painting, Walter Joyce, L 26. That the following appointments had been made :~Charlton : J. C. Evison, head teacher j Wa.mumu ; Mary A. J. Wjall, head tfucher. That (he appointment of teacher at tho Longridge school had bten clfered to Mr A. L. Taller. The inspector, cf works was instructed to call for tenders for painting and re* paii'3, to the Mafaura and Itiversdale ijcbcol buildings, and to arraDge for cartftsje of material to be u*ed in the erection of the school at Ohaitoo Boad (the residents, who had failed to keep their promise to do this, to be informed that the school fund will be withheld till the cost is del rayed).
