An extensive fire occurred today iu Eagle street, by which damage to the extent of £300,000 was caused. The lire broke out in a large warehouse occupied by D. L. Brown and Co, wholesale importers of general drapery, wines, spirits, etc, and spread rapidly to the adjacent premises, occupied M Barker and Co, general merchants. Both buildings wme c miplomly gutted, but owing to the exertion.of the brigade, the fire was stopped from spreading further. Brown and Co had their stock aiu building well covered, their insurances amounting to £IOI,OOO. The risks were dist Abated through nearly all the offices. UoUAP.T, Sept 18. Arrived: P.wic from.
