United Press Association. Sydney, Jul y 17. TTn.nlnn lias decided to take up his residence in tlie colonies. Melbourne, June 17. The death sentence passed on Charles Markham, for shooting at his wife, has been commuted to 15 years’ penal servitude. Work is progressing rapidly at the Exhibition. The German Court will be ready in time for opening. The New Zealand Court is next in order of advanced preparation, and promises to be one of the most interesting Courts at the Exhibition. Sir James Hector and assistants are showing great activity in their work. The English and American Courts are very backward.
Adelaide, July 17. The following are the names of those who were drowned in the wreck of the Star of Greece : Harrowar, captain ; Waugh, second mate ; Parker, Donnell, Blackman, Carter, Carlion. Cadson, Gattis, Demet, Cook, Organ, Irvine Orschmidt, Miles, -Blair and Muir, members of the crew.
