In the House of Commons Mr Morley has tabled a motion, “ That the present administration of Ireland undermines respect for the law, estranges the support of the Irish people, and injures the common intests of the Kingdom.” The motion will be discussed on Monday next.
At a meeting of the Unionist party to-day, : summoned by the Marquis of Hartington, it was agreed to continue their support to the present Ministry, in order, to keep the G-ladstone ascendancy back. A political crisis has therefore been averted.
It is reported that M. de Lesseps who is at present supervising the construction of the Panama Canal, is dead. The report, however, lacks confirmation. Washington - , June 24.
The Republican Convention demand the passage of the strictest laws against the introduction of the Chinese into America. They also condemn the fisheries treaty entered into with Canada.

Cardinal Moran has had an audience with His Holiness the Pope at which he stated that his Australian experiences intensified his conviction of the necessity and injustice of autonomy being granted to Ireland.
