The fight between Burke and Foley was drawn, but the latter had all the worst of it. The hail was crowded, and at the conclusion there was deal of hissing and groaning. The Castleton from Lyttelton has arrived at Newcastle. Acme is now favorite for the Anniversary Handicap at G to 1, Dunlop 8 to 1, Cardigan 10 to 1. The cricket match between the Universities of Sydney and Melbourne won easily by the former. During the centenary week it is proposed to issue provisions by ticket to ten thousand of the poor in the city. The number is scouted as being too large.
