THE BROOKLYN PASTORATE Per Electric Telegraph—Copyright Reutor’s Telegrams. London, Dec 13. News is to hand that a party of colonists have inspected the Gwynfynwdd mine, North Wales, whore Mr Pritchard Morgan recently made the discovery of a gold-bear-ing quartz reef. They report that gold is plainly visible in most of the stone. The Rev Mr Berry has declined to succeed to the pastorship of the late Henry Ward Beecher’s Plymouth Congregational Church, Brooklyn, New York. The Key Louisis Navarre, head of the Roman Catholic mission in New Guinea, has been consecratod Bishop of Penteomia.
