Per Electric Telegraph —Copyright Reuter’s Telegrams. Received Dec 13, 3.50 p.m. Melbourne, Tuesday. Tlie cricket match Vernon’s team v a Junior Eighteen was concluded to-day. The visitors’ first innings closed for 556, Stoddart contributing 265 and Pool 95. Tho Juniors had lost fifteen wickets for 70 runs when time was called and tho match was declared drawn. Sydney, Tuesday. Tho return cricket match between Shaw and Lillywhite’s team and tho Sydney eleven, resulted in a win for the former. Tho Sydney team’s second innings closed for 165 runs, towards which, Moses contributed 68. Tho visitors requiring 39 runs to win, went in for their second innings and succeeded in putting together tho required number without tho loss of a wicket
