THE S.S. BRITANNIA. THE VICTORI AN PARLIAMENT. Per Electric Telegraph - Copyright reuter’s telegrams. Albany, Thursday The P. and 0. Company’s new passenger steamer Britannia arrived at King George’s Sound at noon to-day. She left England on the 6th November.
Melbourne, Thursday
Tho Legislative Assembly sat nb last night, and only rose at one o’clock this afternoon. The subject of debate was tho Public Service Amendment Bill, which measure the Government wore forced to abandon. Mr M. B. Hawke, cricketer, (now Baron Hawke), will leave for England in the Orient Company’s Ormuz to-morrow.
