THE WOOL SALES.
SPECIAL TO PRESS ASSOCIATION,
London, Sept. 15. Wool. —At the auctions to-day 11,000 bales- were offered, when prices showed a hardening tendency. Greasy and good co übing scoured are about the same as the closing rates of' last sales; medium combing scoured halfpenny lower, and faulty scoured about one penny lower than the closing rates of last sales. Since the opening of the series 10,000 bales have been withdrawn out of a total of 101,000 offered. ; . (Reuter’s TELEGRAMS.) London, Sept 15. A Scotch syndicate is reported to have purchased twenty cargoes of Java sugar at a cost of £400,000. THE‘AUSTRALIAN MARKETS. (reuter’s telegrams.) Sydney, Sept 16. New Zealand wheat is quoted at 3s 3d to 3s 6d ; New Zealand oats, Is 10d to 2s 2d ; maize, 4s ; potatoes, 20s to 255. Adelaide, Sept 16.' Wheßt is neglected.at 3s Bd. Flour is dull at the following quotations:—Town flour, £9 5s -to .*£9 15s ; country brands, £8 Ss’to £8 10s. - -
