Auckland, Sept ic. Messrs Sandes and Smith, who left for Maungatautara for the scene of the recent gold discovery,- accoinpai ed by Hall and O'Neill, who made the lipd for the pi '- pose of further, uruspeoting tho country, teturned to Hamilton last night \\ -th two bags of specimens. The are satisfied with the genuineness of the find. Ihe stone is promising and gold is plainly visible, and specimens will probably he brought on to Auch and vi order to be tested. The new find is considered of great importance and promises to l>e a succoess.
