DRESS & MANTLE MAKING IT is now three months since we opened our PRESSMAKING DEPARTMENT, and we take the oppor* tunity of thanking the Lidie3 of Marlborough for the very liberal support they have given us. The support wo have received from the public, combined with the ability and talent exhibited by Miss Meredith (aho has charge), has now set this department on a firm footing, and we are turning out a larger number of dresses than we it possible to do. We have satisfied ourselves that we were judging the requirements of the district rightly when we determined to build and fully stock one of the best premises in the colony, and are quite satisfied that (allowing for tightness of the money market which just now undoubtedly exists all over the colony) our efforts to supply the public of Marlborough with what they require at reasonable rates will receive the recognitions we expected and looked for. We may say thus far we have received all we expectod, and are sanguine we shall continue to do so as long as we can give the greatest comfort and convenience, combined with the largest choice and best value, all of which we are now doing. Ladies who have not yet given us a trial are requested to do so, and we guarantee to give thorn satisfaction. We remain, yours respectfully, LITCHFIELD AND SON, CLOTHIEBS/»»GROOEBS, MARKET PEACE, BLENHEIM.
