CONQUEROR is a bright l ay, now 10 years old, standing 17 hands high, bine of unequalled quality, immense musculir power splendid action, and most docile temper He was bred by Mrs Milusu, West Taieri, out of her celebrated mart Duchess, and is by Empeio', out of the pure Clydesdale mare Kate (imported bj the late Mr James Strachan). Emperoi has gained three first and three second prizes, and is got by the renowned Napoleon (imported by Mr J. Ninnno). Napo leon. by George Buchananjs Emperor out of Nancy, bred by Alexander Finlay Esq. Sandyhills, near Glasgow. Nancj by the celebrated Garnary horse ; her dan is Scotman. Conquekor took the first prize asj two-year-old at the Bluesliin Show, 1871 and second prize for ail comers and ngee horstß at the same show ; and at Oamari the following year took second prize as a three-year-old in a field of nine competi tors. At five years old he took firs prize at Tiinaru, 1879, and special pr’z of 12 guineas os a colonial-bred horse t stnnd in the district that season. LOUIS D’Or is a chestnut Horse g years olil standing over 16 linn Is high with great power and is by that celebrated horse TRADUCER. sire fo Lurline, Calumny,Templeton, Sir Modred and a host of well known winners out of the imported mare Rupee, (late Half Crown). Rupee is by Dollar, the best son of the Flying Dutchman winner of the Derby and St. Ledger of 1819. Dollar won the Northamptonshire Stakes and Goodwood Cup in 1864, and is the sire of Salvator, winner of the Grand I’rix de Baris in 1875. Salvator was the sire of the sire of the Duke of Hamilton’s Ossian, which won the St. Ledger, 1883, and ran second in the Goodwood Cup in 1884, Louis D’Or received first honors three years in succession aa the best thoroughbred entire at the Marlborough Agricultural Show, and ran second to Grip in the C.J.C. Handicap when a three year old. Mionouchn dam of Rupee is by the Baron, sire of Stockwell and Rataplan. Louis D’Or will visit Havelock on Mondays (weather permitting); at Sprtog Creek, on Tuesdays ; Blenheim, Wednesdays and Saturdays ; Picton, Fridays ; at our stables Thursdays. Terms—For thoroughbred mares L 6, others L 3 10s. with a groomace fee of os to be paid on first service.
