Her Majesty tne Queen lias given her sanction lor the dis-o-lution of Parliament. The date for the new election has not y>-t been fixed. It is believed at the Foreign Office that the French vessels which recently proceeded to the New Hebrides were despatched solely for the purpose of obtaining reparation for outrages by natives on B’rench subjects. Confidence is felt that France will not act in an underhand manner. Mr Graham Berry has hid an interview with Earl Ros> b ry, Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs. No details have yet transpired. London, June 9. The disturbance between O»tliolic and Protestant parties at Belfast proved of a very serious nacure. The police who attempted to quell the disturbance were attacked with stones,and were obliged to fire upon the mob, killing fi-rn and wounding many others. Melbourne June 10. The local manager of the National Mortgage and Ageucy Company of New Zealand, Limited, reports : —Shipping wheat, quieter, 5s 4d to 5s 5d per bushel, malting barley, quiet, 3s 9d to 4s 3d, N. Z. feed oats, improving, 3s to 3s Id, milling sorts, good demand, N. Z. oats, under bond,2s 6d to 2s Bd.
