BUSH—PETERSEN

Autumn-shaded flowers decorated All Saints’ Anglican Church, Matamata, on Saturday afternoon, April 15, for the wedding of Doreen Hazel, eldest daughter of Mrs. K. Petersen, of Okoroire, and the late Mr. Petersen, and James Charles, only son of Mrs. Bush and the late Mr. A. Bush, of Whakatane. Bowls of belladonna lilies had been beautifully arranged on the altar and at the chancel steps, posies of Michaelmas daisies and bows of white ribbon marking the pews for the guests. The bodice, which was softly draped from shoulder to central plaston, had a heart-shaped neckline, and was caught with a swathed self-material belt shaped in front like a half-moon. The drop shoulder sleeves, which were full to the elbows, tapered to the wrists, where they formed points over the hands. The graceful, skirt fell to form a deep scalloped train, the hemline being finished with silver hand embroidery. Tiny sprigs of orange;

blossom tied with silver bows were attached here and there on the train of the frock. A spangled chiffon tiara, ornamented with orange blossom, held in place her beautiful embroidered long tulle veil. ,A smaller
