CLAIMS FOR COMPENSATION. Of special interest to farmers and propertyowners whose land is traversed by electric power transmission lines was the civil action heard in the Magistrate’s Court at Te Kuiti last week, when some farmers of the district claimed compensation. In the claim for £2lO the Court awarded the sum of £55. Another farmer, who claimed £95, was awarded £lB. Each party is to pay its own costs.
