Nau mai, haere mai, tahuri mai An invitation is extended to you to participate in TE HUINGA RANGATAHI at OTAKOU MARAE, May 12-14 1978. It will be a time and a place where Maori can meet and prictise Maori language and activities in a Maori situation and discuss matters of Maori concern. We are concerned for the continuance and development of "Maoritanga” and the relevance

of its expression to’our real living situations today: How is this “Maoritanga” expressed within the different (and similar) backgrounds of the North and South Islands? In the city and country areas? Learnt and Taught? The Media used?

The directives behind ‘Na-, tional Maori Language Week’ and the ‘Maori on Television Petition’? Urban Marae: meeting community and individual needs? Survival? Te Huinga: getting it together, sharing and

caring. Being Maori. We are aware that as people we all have so much to offer; and so much to learn. We believe the marae is a place from which to gebin.
