On Sunday last the Queenstown Cricket Club llelded a team at Garston to play Kingston-Garston in a match for the Burnett Shield, held by the latter team. The visitors were successful in their challenge, although the victory was by no means an easy one. R. Anderson for Queenstown put up a fine performance of 53 not out, having played a good innings with the exception of two catches which were dropped. The only other member of the team to reach double figures was I. McLeod with 12. For Garston J. MeCaughan topped the score with 23 runs and B. Hannon 10 and T. McLean 17 not out were the only ones to reach double figures. The bowling on both sides was good, A. Buekham (Garston) 5 for 20 and I. McLeod (Queenstown) 5 for 25 topping the bowling averages.
