Mr ami Mrs D. Wesuey, Invercargill, spent a few days in Queenstown recently. Bishop Wcst-Watson and his daughter arc paying a short visit to Queenstown. Pte. E. Jones and Apps returned to Burnham camp on Monday morning. Mr Chas. Nelson also left for camp the same morning. Pte. Bruce Anderson is spending a week’s leave in Queenstown with his mother.
The following men left on Tuesday morning for the military camp recently established in Southland: A. Turner, (Arrowtown); Joe Hunter (Wharehuanui); K. Grant (Lake Hayes); R. McSoriley, A. Sanders, S. Summers, A. Douglas (Queenstown); S. Wilson, W. Watson, G. Koch (Glenorchy).
Ptes. G. Jenkins and T. McKillick left for the tcritorial camp in Invercargill on Tuesday last. Rev. D. S. Millar of St. Peter’s church, returned home on Saturday after spending a week in Dunedin. Mr J. W. Gardiner, who has been spending a holiday at Dunedin returned at the week-end. Mr Geo, Reid returned from Dunedin on Saturday last. Mrs H. O. McParlane, of Dunedin, is spending a short holiday in Queenstown.
Mr P. Duncan, of Dunedin, is in residence at his cottage at Prankton. His family have recently received advice from the Vatican that Sergt. J. T. Lynch is a prisoner of war in Italy.
Mrs W. Elliott, of Greenstone, arrived in Queenstown last night on route for her honanc.
