LOCAL AND GENERAL

Work was resumed last week in the Golden Arrow and Hamilton’s hydraulic claims, Arrow River. Those interested are reminded that the annual meeting of members of the Arrow Defence Eiflo Club will be held in the Council Chambers tomorrow evening at 8 o’clock. There was a fair attendance at the fortnightly social in connection with St. Patrick’s Church, held in the schoolroom on Friday. The euchre prizes were won by Mies Monica McBride and Mr C. Feebly (after a tie Avlth Messrs C. Kitt9 and P. Mcßride). The consultation prizes were awarded to Mrs P. Mcßride and Mr E. Henderson. Supper was served by the ladies after which dancing was indulged dn, the music being supplied by Mr Reg. Romans.
