FIRST AID CLASSES
i- COMMENCED IN QEEEENSTOWN. r — l — wa? a large attendance at the meeting held in St. Peter’s Parish Hall on Friday night for the purpose of taking steps- to establish First Aid classes under the auspices of the Territorial Association. Dr IV. A. Anderson addressed the meeting on the vital aims of first aid, and he set out in a general way the manner of treating injuries. In its relation to treatment of war injuries Dr. Anderson said that modern warfare necesirated improved methods or different treatment to combat the ravages of same. It was decided to appoint a committee and officebearers to carrv out the administrative work in connection with the branch of the AssoI ciation. The following were appointed Chairman Mr J. P. Fix; secretary and treasurer. Mr H. D. Loudon; committee: Rev. D. K. Boyd and Mr W. McTnn.es and Mesdames N. M. Hall and W. D. Warren and Miss L. White. The subscription was fixed at 3s. It was decided to commence the r-’a -'-es on Monday next, 12th September.
