WAKATIPU DISTRICT FOOTBALL SUB-UNION

The adjourned annual of the Wakatipu District Football bubunion was held in the Council Chambers, Arrowtown, on Monday evening, Ist inst. Present: Mr W. H. James- (president), Rev. K. I. Cameron, Messrs A. N. Macdonald, W. McLean, E. J. Saunders-, and W. Hore (secretary). The amendments to the Sub-unions by-laws and flag-match rules, as submitted by Rev. Cameron and Mr E J. Saunders, were adopted, and it' was decided that the revised bylaws be printed. A vote of thanks was passed to Rev. Cameron and Mir Saunders tor their services in revising the rules. On the motion of Mr Macdonald, seconded by Rev. Cameron, the following were appointed an emergency committee: —Messrs J. T. Lynch, R. J Ful’er, W. McLean, E. J. Saunders, and the ’ president ex officio. Mir J. L. Lindsay, Queenstown, submitted the conditions attached to the cup he had presented to the bubunion, which were as fol’ows-:—To be competed for annually by teams from Vincent and Wakatipu; the first match to be played at Queenstown, and subsequent matches to be played •ib e'-ratolv at Alexandra and Queens(own irrespective of which team was Hip h r ld6” of the cup.—lt was decided that the Vincent Sub-union be asked if it was agreeable to the conditions, and if so to submrt a date for the first match. ■ORDINARY MEETING. At the conclusion of the annual meeting, an ordinary meeting was correspondence _ was approved, and inward received. The ■secretary, Southland RFC wrote stating that the application toi the reinstatement of N. Barbara had been forwarded to the N.Z. Union for favourable consideration. The secretary. Glenorchy Football Club, wrote stating that owing to the prevalence of influenza his team had found it impossible to fulfil its engagement on the 29th. The club also found that it would not now be possible to continue in the competition this season. —-Received, the seoredcUy to write the Glenorchy Club expressing the 'Sub- Union’s- regret of its withdrawal from the competition. The following transfers were granted:—L. Densem, from Christchurch Cld Boys to Queenstown: H. Webb, Riverton to Queenstown: T. Blackmore, R’verton to Country: E. Cobins, Ha we a to Arrow: T. Ciow.e. Glenoichy to Arrow; J. Saunders, Arrow to Some discussion took plane regarding the application for a transfer oi A. Dakera from Arrow to Country, as this Player had not changed his address since the previous season. Mi MbLean, the Country Clubs delegate, raid that his Club had not approached Takers', to transfer from Arrow., The Arrow delegates did not oppose the transfer, and on the motion ot Mr Saunders, seconded by Rev. Cameron, the transfer was unanimously granted.
