There was a good demand and the yarding was quitted at prices equal to last week's rates. Best bullocks .£lB 10s to .£2O ; extra to J224 7s tkl; medium to good .£l2 to i.13 10s others £9 up. > Fat Sheep.—2394 penned. There was keen competition and at the- commencement of the sale prices were above last week's hut towards the close they receded to last sale's values. Tiiore were very fenheavy wethers to hand. Best wethers 42s to 40s (3d; extr i to 49s (id ; medium 36s to 38s; prime ewes 37s to 42s ; extra to 49s ; medium 31s to 345; light and others 23s 6d to 255. Lambs.—lo3 penned. Competition was good, the exporters buying freely, and values were fully equal to last week's rates. Anything light and unfinished met with a ready sale to graziers. Pigs.—A medium yarding of fats for which late rates were maintained. There was a fair yarding of stores but the demand was not so good as last week's and values receded 3s to 4s. Oats. —The enquiry is good for prime lines suitable for seed and milling purposes. Quotations: Prime milling 4s to 4s Id ; good to best feed 3s lOd to 3s lid per bushel, (sacks extra) Wheat.—There is very little offering. Millers are keen buyers for suitable lines at the fixed Government prices. Fowl wheat is very short and can be readily sold at from 5s 9d to 5s lid per bushel (sacks tjxtra) for best quality. Potatoes.—The demand is very slack, choice lines only are in request. Faulty anil inferior lines are almost unsaleable. Choice tables up to .£5; medium to good JC4 5s to £-h 15s per ton. (sacks in) Chaff—There is a good demand for prime heavy chaff which can be readily sold at quotations. Prime oaten sheaf .£5 10s to A's 15s; medium to good Xo to .£5 5s per ton.
