Stronach, Morris and Co., Ltd., report for week ending, 4th October as follows: Fat Sheep.—lßß6 were penned, mostly good quality. There was good competition and prices showed an advance of from Is to 2s. Best wethers, 24s 6d to 27s 9d, medium 2ls 6d to 23s 9d, light 18s Od to 20s Od, best ewes 20s to 235, extra to 255, medium to good 17s Od to 19s, light 14s Od to 16s Od.

Fat Lambs —There was only 30 yarded Best lambs 22s Od to 25s Od; lighter from 203 to 21s.

lat Cattle.—l 64 yarded, consisting of good quality. Prices were fully np to last week's rates. Best Bullocks, .£l2 Os to .£ls 53, extra to £l2 os, medium to good .£lO 0s to ,£ll 10s, inferior £6 to .£B, best cows and heifers £9 to =610125, extia to wBl2 os, Od medium £1 5s to £$ 15s, inferior .£5 10s to £6 12s.

Pigs.—There was a yarding of 150 and prices for suckers and slips were easier on last weeks values. Quotations: Suckers 7s Od to lis, slips 12s Od to 153 Od, stores 20s to 203 6d, porkers 2-)s~to 355, light baconers 40s to 455, heavy do 50s to 555, choppers to 80s. Rabbitskins.—We again offered a medium catalogue when competition was not so keen and prime winters showed a slight decline on last sale. Quotations : Selected winter does 30d to 36d, good 24 to 27d, prime winter bucks I6d to 19d, early winters 17£ dto 18d, incomings 15d to 17d, medium to good 16d to 19d, autumns 13d to 15d, outgoing 12d to 13d, racks 9d to 93d, winter blacks 30d to 33d, autumn blacks 14d to fawns 12d to 15} d, summer blacks to 15d, shocks 3d, horse hair to 19d.

Sheepskins.—At our sale to-day we offered a large catalogue. Best £-bred 84d to 9£d, medium to Bd, best fine x-bred 7H to 8f d, coarse x-bred 6jd to 7d, best pelts 4d to 5.Jd, medium 3d to 4Jd, inferior Id to 2d, best merino 7£d to Bd, medium to good 44d to 6d; best lambskins 7d to B}d. Hides.—We held our fortnightly sale on Thursday, 29th ult., when we ofiered a large catalogue. Quotations.—Prime stout heavy ox hides 7d to 7sd, good heavy do. (*Jd to 6|d, medium • weight sjd to 6}d, light weight s|d to 6|d, inferior to Sd, best heavy cow hides of d to 6d, medium weight s*d to light weight 6d to 6|d, inferior do. 4d to sd, yearlings 4|d to 6|d, calfskins 6H to 9d. Tallow and Fat.—There is an exceptionally good demand and prices show a slight rise.

Chaff.—Large supplies are coming forward and prices show little change. Prime oaten sheaf is in demand but medium and discolored are hard of sale. Quotations: Prime oaten sbeaf <£3 51s to <£3 17s, medium to good .£3 to £Z 7s 6d, discoloured and inferior £2 os to £2 lss, straw chaff <£l 15s to £2 5s per ton (sacks extra.) Potatoes. —Prime up-to-dates £7 12s 6d to £7 71s, extra to £8 Os 6d, medium £7 to £7 10s, inferior and damaged M. Straw.—Wheaten 24s to 25s Od, oaten 32s 6d to 35s per ton (pressed.) Turnips —lss to 17s 6d per ton loose.
