The Spring Show.

The first Spring Show to be held to-morrow (Wednesday) under the auspices of the Wakatipu Horticultural Society promises to be very successful. Over a hundred entries have been received, which embrace most of the classes. The narcissi classes are well filled and provided all the exhibits come in there will be a magnificent display of blooms. Local growers will be put into competition with two enthusiasts from the Arrow end of the district who are said to have some well grown flowers. The weather of late has not been very favorable to spring growth, otherwise one might have expected something even better. However, it is hoped that it will keep fine for show day so that the attendance will not be affected. The society is largely dependent on the door receipts in the present venture and it therefore be ho\es the public to accord the show liberal support. The price of admission is the very modest one of 6d per head anH the show will be open afternoon and evening.
