Late Commercial.

GORE HORBE BAZAAR. Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., report as follows : —Our entry for laat Saturday's sale was Dot a large one, only some 36 horses coming forward, most of whicli-Bold at late rates. We can, with confidence, remiud vendors that there is a specially big demand for reliable draughts and good harness horses in our market, and consignments are sure to meet with a ready sale. The principal entry on Saturday was a contract team and plant on account of Mr W. A. Porteous, Fortification Station, The horses were a little on the aged side, but the whole consignment was cleared at from £36 to £45, the vendor being more than satisfied with the prices obtained. Mr H. Hogg of Balclutha, brought in a nice looking, well-shaped black mare, 4yr old, which, »fter keea competition, fell to the bid of Mr John McNeill, of Mataura, for £52. A bunch of hackney mares, in foal to Kia Ora, and yearlings by the same horse, were offered on account of Mr Sinclair Wright of Balclutha, the whole consignment meeting with ready sale. The undermentioned sales were a few of the principal prices obtained throughout the day : Black gelding, Byra, £39 fOs ; black geldiug, 7yrs, £37 ; bay gelding, Byrs, £36; black mare, 4yrs, £s'2 ; bay gelding, 7yrs, £ls ; bay gelding, 7yra, £3B ; bay geldiug, Byrs, £36. Our next sale will be held as usual next Saturday.

McKAY BROS.' REPORT. Messrs McKay Bros. report of actual sales on Saturday, *27 th October : Cows.—Two entered, one sold at £3. Poultry.—lGo penned. Hens la Til to 2s 6d, cockerels 2i Id to 3s, ducks 2s 8d to 3s. Pigs.—\ ery strong demand. Suckers 10s to 14s, weaners to 18s.

Potatoes. —Prime tabic are having more attention at £lO to £l2 ; small almost unsaleable. Onions, Prime Victorian l'2s 6d.

Wheat 13', oats 7s Gi to l(Jj 0 1 pea sack, oilcake 12s per cwt. Fruit.—Oranges 9s tolls 6d, mandarins 10s Gi, lemons lis Gil, bananas 14s to lGs, ripe 2W per lb, tomatoes 7s 61 to 10s, cucumbers 103 to 12s. rhubarb l£d to 2 1 per lb. DUNEDIN GRAIN AM) PRODUCE MARKET. Donedin, this day. Donald Reid and Co. report : Oats.—Shippers requirement* are not large, being easily tilled, chiefly from the Bluff at reduced prices. Local stocks are small and moving off in small quantities at prices almost equal to lite quotations. Prime milling 2s 3d to 2s 3id, good to best feed 2s Id to 2s IJd, other*"is lid to 2s. Wheat.—There is little to report. Millers are not buying freely, Their purchases are almost confined to prime tuscan and velvet medium. Milling has no enquiry and lines of this class are being quitted as fowl wheat for which there is a fur demand. Prime milling 3s 4£d to 3s 6d, medium to good lis 2id to 3s 4d, whole fowl wheat lis Jd to 3s 2d, others 2* 9d to 3s.

Potatoes.—Consignments coming to hand aie not heavy. Best table sorts show a slight improvement. The seed season is over and inferior line 3 are hard to quit at reduced prices. Prime table sorts, £ll to £ll 10s, medium to good £8 to £ll 15s, others £2 to £5.

The chaff market is heavily supplied. Only prime oaten sheaf has any demand. Medium quality has no enquiry. Prime oaten sheaf £3 15? to £4, medium £3 5s to £3 12s 6d, others £2 15a to £3 2a 6d. Straw.— Wh«aten market bare3ss. Oaten not so strongly required 40s to 455.
