NOVEL COLLECTION OF BOOKS.
In the library of Warenstein, near C'assell, Oermany, may be wren a most novel collection of book*. At first plane# l they appear like rouph blrcks of wood, but upon closer fxnminntion it is found that each \f> a complete history of the tree which it represents. At the back of the book the bark has been removed from a srnce large enough to admit the scientific and the common name of the tree as the title. One tide is formed from the split wood of the tree, showing its grain and natural fracture, the other shows the word when worked smooth and varnished. One end shows the grain as left by the saw, and -he cth?r the fine-ly-polished wood. On opening the book one finds the fruit, seed, leaves, and other products of the tree, the mow which grows upon its trunk, and the insects which feed upon the various parts of the tree. To ail thia is added a description of the habit#, usual location, and manner of growth of the tree—all forming a complete history of each kind of timber represented, and tkert an my man kinds indeed, °
